Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how "PointCalc" ("PointCalc", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, discloses and safeguards information in connection with the PointCalc mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play (the "App") and the website at pointcalc.in (the "Website"; together with the App, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not access or use the Service.

PointCalc is designed to operate primarily on your device. The tournaments, teams, players, screenshots, branding assets and exports you create in the App are stored locally and are not transmitted to PointCalc servers, except as described in Section 2.3 if you choose to enable Google Drive backup.

1. Scope of this Policy

This Policy applies to information processed by PointCalc in connection with the Service. It does not apply to:

• Third-party services (including the Apple App Store, Google Play, Google Drive and Firebase), which are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
• Third-party websites you may reach through links in the Service.
• Content you choose to share publicly or with third parties from within the App (for example, an exported point-table image you post on social media).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the limited categories described below.

2.1 Information stored locally on your device

The following information is created on your device and remains on your device. It is not transmitted to PointCalc and we have no ability to access it, except via the optional Google Drive backup described in Section 2.3:

• Tournaments you create, including names, dates, formats and configuration.
• Team and player information, including team names, player in-game names ("IGNs") and IDs, placements and kill counts.
• Custom branding assets you add, including logos, background images and colour selections.
• Screenshots you import into the App for stats extraction.
• Designs, posters and other exports generated in the App.

This information is removed from your device when you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the App, we collect a limited set of diagnostic and usage information through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google LLC. This information includes:

• Device model, operating system and version, App version, language and approximate region (derived from IP address — not GPS).
• App-generated identifiers, including Firebase installation identifiers used to deduplicate anonymous events and the device advertising identifier where the operating system permits.
• Anonymous usage events, such as which screens are opened or which export templates are used.
• Crash reports, including stack traces, the screen on which a crash occurred and device state at the time of the crash. Crash reports do not include the tournament data or content you entered into the App.

This information is not associated with your name, email address or phone number, because the App does not require an account for general use.

2.3 Information processed for Google Drive backup (optional)

The App offers an optional Google Drive backup feature. You may use the App without enabling this feature. If you choose to enable it, the following applies:

• Sign-in. You authenticate with your Google Account through Google's standard OAuth 2.0 flow. We receive your Google Account email address and display name as part of the authorization response.
• Drive scope. The App requests the drive.file OAuth scope. This scope limits the App's access to files it creates or that you explicitly open with the App. The App cannot view, modify or list other files in your Google Drive.
• Authentication tokens. OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by Google are stored securely on your device and used by the App to read and write your backup files.
• Backup contents. When you enable backup, a copy of your tournament data and custom branding assets is written to your own Google Drive under your account — PointCalc does not maintain a server-side copy.
• Revocation. You may disconnect Google Drive backup at any time from within the App, and you may revoke the App's access to your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

See Section 5 for the additional Google API Services User Data Policy commitments that apply to information received from Google APIs.

2.4 Subscription information

If you purchase a Premium or Premium + AI subscription, billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google through their respective app stores. The App receives only a confirmation that your subscription is active and which tier you are on. We do not receive or store your payment card number, UPI ID, bank account details or billing address.

2.5 Information you provide when you contact us

If you contact us by email, Instagram or WhatsApp, we receive and retain the contents of your message and any contact information you provide, so that we can respond and follow up.

2.6 Information collected on the Website

The Website is a static landing page. It does not set tracking cookies, does not run web analytics on visitors and does not embed third-party trackers. Standard server-access logs may be generated and briefly retained by the hosting platform (GitHub Pages) for abuse prevention; we do not access or process those logs.

We do not collect: precise GPS location, contacts, SMS or call logs, photos other than those you explicitly import into the App, microphone audio, biometric data, or data from other applications on your device.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described in Section 2 for the following purposes:

• Operating the Service. To provide the App's features, including the optional Google Drive backup you have enabled.
• Stability and improvement. To identify crashes, fix bugs and understand which features are used so we can prioritise development.
• Integrity and security. To detect and prevent abuse of the Service, including verifying that App requests originate from a genuine, unmodified installation of the App.
• Support. To respond to your questions, troubleshoot issues and follow up on requests.
• Legal compliance. To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use information collected through the Service for third-party advertising. We do not use your tournament content, screenshots or any information obtained from Google APIs to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only with the limited categories of recipients listed below, and only as necessary to operate the Service:

• Google LLC (Firebase). Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics process the diagnostic information described in Section 2.2 on our behalf, subject to the Firebase Privacy and Security Policy.
• Google LLC (Drive and Sign-In). If you enable Google Drive backup, Google receives and processes the information described in Section 2.3, subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
• Apple Inc. and Google LLC (App Stores). The Apple App Store and Google Play distribute the App and process all subscription transactions under their own terms and privacy policies.
• GitHub, Inc. Hosts the static pointcalc.in Website via GitHub Pages.
• Legal and protective disclosures. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, court order, lawful government request or to protect the rights, safety or property of PointCalc, our users or the public.
• Business transfers. If PointCalc is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any such change and of any choices they may have.

We do not share information with any other third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy

PointCalc's use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, with respect to Google user data received in connection with the Google Drive backup feature:

• We use Google user data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Google Drive backup that you have explicitly enabled.
• We do not use Google user data to serve advertising, including remarketing, personalised or interest-based advertising.
• We do not transfer or sell Google user data to third parties, including data brokers, information resellers or other parties who would use it for purposes inconsistent with the Limited Use requirements.
• We do not allow humans to read Google user data, except: (a) with your explicit consent for specific files or messages; (b) where necessary for security purposes, such as investigating abuse; (c) to comply with applicable law; or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations, in each case as permitted by the Google API Services User Data Policy.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

6. Data Retention

• On-device data. Retained on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.
• Google Drive backup contents. Stored in your Google Drive under your control. You may delete the backup at any time from within the App or directly from your Google Drive.
• Firebase Analytics events. Retained in accordance with our configured Firebase Analytics retention settings and Google's default retention period for such data.
• Firebase Crashlytics reports. Retained for up to 90 days for active investigations.
• Subscription confirmations. Retained while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for accounting and audit purposes.
• Support communications. Retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and to address related follow-up requests.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect information. All network communication between the App and the services we rely on uses encrypted transport (HTTPS / TLS). OAuth tokens used for Google Drive backup are stored on your device using the platform's secure storage facilities. Because the majority of your content remains on your device, the protections you maintain on your device — operating-system updates, a screen lock and physical control of the device — are an important part of keeping that information safe. No system can be guaranteed to be fully secure; if we become aware of a security incident that affects information described in this Policy, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following choices regarding information processed in connection with the Service:

• Manage on-device data. Delete tournaments, teams, players, branding assets and exports at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all on-device data.
• Manage Google Drive backup. Disable backup from within the App at any time. Delete the backup files from your Google Drive. Revoke the App's access to your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Reset device identifiers. Reset your advertising identifier from your operating system settings on iOS or Android.
• Limit diagnostic collection. The App does not currently provide an in-app toggle to disable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics; collection ceases when you uninstall the App.

Subject to applicable law — including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act — you may also have the right to (i) request access to the personal information we hold about you, (ii) request correction or deletion of that information, (iii) object to or request restriction of certain processing, (iv) request portability of certain information, (v) withdraw any consent you have previously given and (vi) lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at pointcalcdev@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by the applicable law and, in any event, within thirty (30) days.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for tournament organisers, esports community administrators and other users aged 13 and above (16 in the European Union and the United Kingdom). The Service is not directed to children below those ages, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at pointcalcdev@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete such information.

10. International Data Transfers

PointCalc is operated from India. The third-party providers we rely on — including Google (Firebase and Drive), Apple, and GitHub — may process information on servers located in the United States or other countries outside India. By using the Service, you understand that information may be transferred to, stored in and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where applicable law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including the safeguards put in place by the relevant third-party providers.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, in applicable law or in our practices. When we make a change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as through a notice within the App. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
