I started PointCalc in September 2021. I was a PUBG player back then, running scrims with my friends, and the worst part of tournament day was never the matches — it was the after-math. Hours of manual point calculations, then hours more in Photoshop putting the result graphics together. A friend in our circle was doing all that grunt work for us. I covered for him one week, and after two days I broke. There had to be a better way.

I was a BCA student who only knew C at the time. I watched a 14-hour Android tutorial, started building the day after, and had a working prototype inside a week. The friend I built it for wasn't really satisfied with it — so I quietly used it myself, then shipped versions to two or three other orgs I knew. That's when it clicked: instead of one-off builds for each org, ship one app that any organizer can customize. Play Store publishing wasn't free, so my college friends pitched in to cover the developer fee. PointCalc's been live ever since.

These days I'm an Android developer at Wrench Solutions in Kochi by day, and PointCalc is still my own project on the side — now at 100K+ downloads, with AI screenshot extraction and an iOS build. For partnerships, custom designs or just to say hi, reach me on WhatsApp or Instagram.
